HOW TO OPEN PORTS

Hello,

I have an Aruba Instant RAP-109 which I have configured as a virtual controller in my home office. I'm having issues sending a scan request from my MacBook Pro to my office printer so I can scan a document. The interesting thing is that I can send a print request without issues but not a scan request. I swapped my Aruba AP for a old backup AP and I was able to successfully send a request to scan a document . However, I dont want to use my old AP. That's just a backup. There appears to be a port that's blocking my MBP from accessing my printer's scanner. Can someone assist? Is there away way to resolve this through the UI?

Thanks!

Moses

Re: HOW TO OPEN PORTS

You did not say if the scanner was wired or wireless, or whether or not it is on the same subnet as your wireless client.  Either way, when you create the SSID on the IAP, your "acl" or security policy should be unrestricted...
