How do i modify an SSID?

    Hi,

     

    I recently set up a new IAP215 and named the Network "Test" to configure it and to learn all about it.

     

    I now want to change the SSID to the finished network name, however, whenever i click on Edit in Aruba Instant, it does not allow the modifcation of the SSID.

     

    Is this not possible, or am i looking in the wrong place?

    That depends what version of code you are on.  In the 4.2 release, this (finally) allows you to change the essid.  You will however still be stuck with the profile name of 'Test'.

     

    I would suggest recreating with the name you want to make it tidy.

    I'm assuming the 4.2 is the instant os?

    It was installed yesterday and I installed the latest firmware for the AP.

    Edit the ssid and click on Advanced options, and it is in the bottom right.

    I don't have that option on advanced, however, I've just discovered that my AP isn't set to 'standalone' mode.

    Should I convert it as it is the only AP I have in the house?

    I'm also guessing that this may be the reason why some options are not available

    Ah ok.  That is 4.1 code, which is the second part of the version.  Try upgrading to 6.4.3.1-4.2.0.3.

    I used the automatic way on the AP, and it says im up to date?

    You should try disabling broadcast filtering on that SSID.

    You only need airgrouo enabled if you are filtering broadcasts or you are not on the same vlan as your devices.
