I performed an update from 5.0.30 – 1.1.01_29974 TO 6.2.0.0 – 3.2.0.0_36559 and am experiencing the following problems.

I am unable to reach the HTTPS interface to the Virtual Controller. I am able however to reach HTTPS:\\<IP OF IAP>:4343 and login. However, when I log in, the dashboard shows completely blank, and the only links that seemingly allow me to click on them is the "Maintenance" and "Support" links. I can SSH into 5 out of 6 of my IAP's. I tried logging into one of the IAP's and performing a reload to try and reboot the IAP and I am now unable to login with my admin password. I have tried the default admin password, but am unable to login.

I have 6 of the IAP's directly connected to a Dell PowerConnect 5548P (POE) switch. I have two SSID's on the VC. One is for employee traffic, and the other is for customer traffic. The main network is on the employee network on VLAN 1.

I have tried to unplugging the IAP's at the switch to perform a reboot of the IAP's and still I am experiencing this odd behavior.

Can someone please suggest a course of action for fixing this issue? I have 6 IAP's and most of them are in not easily reachable locations.

    Thanks,

Do you remenber which one had the role of master?

If you do try unplugging that one, and then some other AP will take over, and will be the master.  After that try to log in

But leave the one that was master off while you doing it.

We just experienced a similar problem. I found that we could access the GUI on the virtual controller right after a reload or when there were few clients on the network. I worked with support and there is a patch in development. They had me move back to the previous code level to resolve the issue.

We saw a similar problem in 6.1.3.4-3.1.0.1_35899 and were asked to upgrade.

I saw 6.2.0.0-3.2.0.1_36986 came out on Tuesday (Well I saw it on Tuesday anyway)

I'll try that instead of 36559 and let you know what I see.
