I have to enable a 11n access within a SSID Hidden mode.
But it doesn't work in a particular cirumstance, and it could only connect by 11a.
IAP product: IAP-105
IAP Version:3.0.0.1
Wireless Chip:Ralink RT2870 (USB Adapter type)
Chip Driver:3.2.9.0
First, I tried it In SSID Hidden mode.
-When I tried it on a Windows XP desktop, It works well. I could get a 11n 300Mbps access.
-When I tried it on a Windows 7 desktop, I could only get a 11a 54Mbps access.
Secondly, I tried it In SSID Not Hidden mode.
-When I tried it on a Windows XP desktop, It works well. I could get a 11n 300Mbps access.
-When I tried it on a Windows 7 desktop, It works well. I could get a 11n 300Mbps access.
Then,I tried it in a cotroller based circumstance. It is consisted with Aruba 650 and AP-105
-Either the desktops' OS is XP or 7and either the SSID mode is Hidden or Not Hidden,
It works well. I could get a 11n 300Mbps access.
I tried these by a windows wireless utility and also by a Chipset vendors' utility,
but the consequence was the same.
So, this seems to be a combination problem between IAP, RT2870 and Windows7, as when I
tried the same in a Laptop with Intel WiFI Chip set, it worked well.
What I am concerned is why the result differs between an IAP circumstance and a Controller
based circumstance.
Has anyone been faced to a same trouble? I wish someone could give me an help to solve
this problem.
Regards,
