KERNEL: [657092.517881] protocol 0000 is buggy, dev br0

Hello,

We have 205, 215, 315, 367 IAPs and a few of them write this in their logs:

KERNEL: [657092.517881] protocol 0000 is buggy, dev br0

One of the 367 is the master and just upgraded firmware to: Current Version: 6.5.4.3_61959 Digitally Signed - Production Build. We had the error before the upgrade and we still have it.

I tried to search for this in KB and here but found no solution. Can someone please direct me to a solution? Thank you!

It is a bug that is not yet fixed.  I will update this thread when there is progress.

Any update on this bug? I'm still seeing it on IAP-305s and -315s - but the odd thing is that it only appears in two clusters, our Middle School cluster and the service/facilities/maintenance building cluster (that one only has two APs). We don't see it on any IAPs in the High School, two elementary schools and admin building clusters. All are running the same firmware, 6.5.3.3-6.5.3.3_61785, with the exception of the admin building, which only has one IAP-225 in it. Haven't been able to figure out why it's confined to just those two clusters and not the others, considering that the firmware rev is the same throughout.

Thanks.

No update.  It is not fixed completely, but it should not have a material effect on your network.  It is difficult to suppress or do away with Kernel Messages completely, even if they are just costmetic, unfortunately.
