What is the default refresh rate on the virtual controller?

    I have a customer that IAP cluster of about 20 AP's. They stat that when they login to the VC and see the clients attached to the AP, If they change the device name while they sit there the VC will never update the new name of the device. This said they think the IAP doesn't ever refresh the clients that connect to the virtual controller.

     

    My question is what is the default refresh rate for the clients connected to the AP?

    Is it supposed to refresh the device name if it was changed while sitting there?

    If it is supposed to refresh can we change how frequent it refreshes?

     

    Any help would be appreciated.

    I believe the device name is obtained from a DHCP option that the client sends while obtaining an ip address.  They probably would need to re-dhcp for the name to change.
