so I ran those commands on an AP that this morning just stopped giving out ips
this is the output when the ap is working properly
dhcp: message-type: request
hardware type: 1, len: 6, hops: 0
txn id: 0x35f0168b, seconds elapsed: 0
client mac: 58:94:6b:f8:c6:d4
magic cookie: 0x63825363
#dhcp-option: requested-ip: 172.29.102.78
#dhcp-option: message-type: request
#dhcp-option: dhcp-server: 172.29.100.101
and here is the output when the AP isn't giving out addresses
#dhcp: message-type: request
hardware type: 1, len: 6, hops: 0
txn id: 0x4ce48aaa, seconds elapsed: 0
boot flags: 0x8000
client mac: 48:51:b7:23:1d:1a
magic cookie: 0x63825363
#dhcp-option: requested-ip: 172.29.102.148
#dhcp-option: message-type: request
the only difference is that when the ap stops giving out ip's the DHCP request is missing this line #dhcp-option: dhcp-server: 172.29.100.101 which is the ip of the dhcp server
if I restart the ap that is having issues it will show a good dhcp request for a while but will eventually go back this state
thanx
