is it possible to change IAP Enterprise SSID Default role?

  • 1.  is it possible to change IAP Enterprise SSID Default role?

    using 6.2.0.0-3.2.0.2_37229 when creating a Enterprise security level SSID with role-based access it seems the IAP takes the SSID name as default role, is it correct im unable to change this or do i overlook something somewhere?

    Hi,:smileywink:

    You cant delete or rename the default role name:

     

    A special default role with the same name as the network is automatically defined for each network.
    These roles cannot be deleted or renamed.

     

    but

    You may create your own access role (of course u can give it anyname) - and then to attached it to your enterprise ssid.

    Read the InstantAP User guide (chapter 14)

    as far as I can see im not able to change the Default role, also not afterwards. yes, i can create other roles, i can set the pre-auth role to such a self created role or the machine auth role, but i see no way to change the Default role for a SSID.

     

    can this be done?

    confirmed by TAC, not possible. the default name is the SSID name and will be used as default.

     

    a bit odd choice, but nothing majorly annoying.
