A little background: the password reset has been removed from the Instant product because Instant APs typically are placed in locations where the AP can be stolen or taken away.
You probably don't want anyone who stole your AP to use the password recovery and get your config (with radius keys, admin password, etc...). So for a security reason, you can only reset the full AP where you lose all configuration.
