    can I run app rf on an 6000 controller using 6.4 is and receive all of the capability of running it on a 7000 series controller

    Unfortunately no , you will no get the DPI feature

    You will have some visibility into firewall traffic, but you will not be able to drop/shape/prioritize the traffic like you can on the 7000 series controllers.
