How to Configure Authenticated NTP in AMP ?



A:

From AMP 8.2.5 version we can configure authenticated NTP. From Amp setup -> Network -> Network Time (NTP) as shown below,

We can verify the configuration from the /etc/ntp.conf (tac can assist in navigating to file),

restrict default kod nomodify notrap nopeer noquery
restrict -6 default kod nomodify notrap nopeer noquery
restrict 127.0.0.1
restrict ::1
tinker step 0.5
keys /etc/ntp/keys
server 123.249.20.211 key 12345
server 157.7.235.92 key 12345

trustedkey 12345 12345
 

We can verify the MD5 hashing from the below packet capture between AMP & NTP server,
