Q: How does Guest user configuration work on Airwave?
A: Below is the detailed flow.
Once a guest user is created, Airwave will try to push the same user on all the controllers being monitored by Airwave and provisioned in the folder which has visibility to the ROLE of the user creating guest user.
If airwave fails to push guest user on any of the controllers, the guest configuration will be shown as error on Airwave.
Why Airwave would fail to push configuration?
Below are the reasons.
1: Controller is down/not reachable. ( even if planned downtime is enabled the guest configuration will fail).
2: The telnet/ssh credentials for the controller are wrong on Airwave.
3: The ssh communication is getting timed out.
What controllers will be ignored by Airwave in guest provisioning?
1: Controllers belonging to a group which has audit disabled.
2: Controllers not belonging to the folder which the Airwave user's Role has access to.
The partial_config_pusher log under /var/log would have failure messages if the guest user is not pushed to the controller(s).
