Currently a customers Airwave server is very slow (for a while now) and is having difficulties to setup Instant GUI while managing instant clusters. Also mismatches occur a lot of time.
Airwave has over 60 Groups (stores) and over 220 AP's to manage and monitor. Current AMP version is 8.0.9.2 - and we want them to update AMp version because of security policy etc.
Now we don't want to update Instant Firmware over al lgroups becaue we know server cant handle it - too slow.
Current specs VMware server AMP is running on:
CPU
Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5645 @ 2.40GHz 4 Cores 12288 KB cache (2394.269 MHz actual)
Memory
Installed Physical RAM: 23.47 GB
Configured Swap Space: 4.00 GB
What should the advice for hardware specs - running this much AP's and Groups? We agree with customer, it has already a lot of good specs - can we shut down / lower down some processes?
I have attached all performance stats from AMP , maybe you guys cna help us out.. Thanks in advance.
