AirWave 8.2.0.2 not finding new IAP 205

  • 1.  AirWave 8.2.0.2 not finding new IAP 205

    Hello,

    AirWave 8.2.0.2 not finding new IAP 205. Everywhere I can see, auto Join is enabled. On the same L2 network where this is the 2nd IAP.

     

    New IAP 2.4Ghz & 5Ghz lights are yellow.

     

     

    Any ideas?

    Is the existing Instant AP the same model (205)?? If not, make sure that the new IAP205 is on the same firmware level as your existing cluster before joining.

     

    As long as the new AP is not joined in your existing cluster, it will not show up on Airwave, so fix the cluster joint of the 205 first.

    I'm sure the new IAP 205 is on a differnet firmware level since I've upgraded the first one. As the instant SSID is not showing I'll have to setup a stand alone L2 network so I can upgrade the firmware.

    Looks like the firmware on the IAP was updated automatically and then was discovered by Airwave after a day or so.
