Airwave monitoring ClearPass -> Down

    Hi folks,

     

    fresh installation of customer consists of Airwave version 8.2.5.1  and ClearPass 6.7.0.101814. We successfully added mulptile different device types to Airwave for monitoring. But when i add ClearPass, it shown UP for ~5 minutes and than it turns to DOWN. Double checked community string and SNMP version. Airwave and ClearPass Data/External port are on the same subnet (ClearPass Monitoring port is not reachable for Airwave)

    Did you add the CPPM server in as CPPM, Aruba Device, or Universal Network Device?  I'll have to try this out in the lab when I get a chance, but might find faster resolution by opening a TAC case.

    This might be related to ClearPass issue #43392, which describes a stop of the SNMP service in ClearPass 6.7.0 when specific counters are queried by Airwave.

     

    I would advise you to open a TAC case on ClearPass to verify if that is the issue.
