I'm wondering how Airwave populates the neighbor (not RF neighbor) info for APs.

Currently no info is being logged and I'm wondering why.

What is used to populat this? I had hoped that since LLDP is enabled and visible through show ap lldp neighbors it would also be logged in Airwave.

The switches themselves are cisco switches and not monitored/managed by Airwave,

It's lldp data from the switches and controllers.  The data is polled at a slower rate since most devices don't like having lldp polled too often.  Try adding your cisco switches in monitor only mode to see if that results in seeing the neighbor tables.

    Thanks for the info Rob.

You say lldp data fronm the controller.. does/should that include the info from the APs seeing as it realy is the controller that has such info about its APs?

Adding all the switches isn't an option due to licensing. They are already monitored/managed elsewhere so having to add all the switches just to get some lldp info that the controller already has seems... weird.

Will test with 1 swithc though just to be sure.

True, it's a bit redundant, but it's the workaround if the controller wasn't passing the data.

You might try opening a support case to get some assistance trying to debug why the controller hasn't passed lldp values, or try polling the controller now to see if it grabs the neighbor table.
