Can I show the name of client when I using MAC Authentication

Hi All,

I am setting a SSID using MAC auth, as the result I found, I need to create the user account with username and password are the MAC address of the client device.

because of this setting, I can only see the MAC address of the device in the Client tab to check who is connect to the network, is it able to add more information to the mac address content in order to show who is using the deivce?

Thanks

Alvin

Hi Tim,

I don't have clearpass, I have only the controller.

Unfortunately without using a RADIUS server/policy engine for
MAC-authentication, this is not possible.

Re: Can I show the name of client when I using MAC Authentication

I have a Radius Server on a windows server 2008r2

is there any case about the integration of the aruba controller and windows radius server to do the MAC authentication and how to show the user name.

is there any reference for me about this case?

Thanks

NPS does not have a policy engine. You would need something like ClearPass.
