I wanted to know when using Aruba Clearpass as a AAA-TACACS+or RADIUS Authentication Server instead of ACS does it take Virtual Appliance Licenses for all the network endpoints?

Licensing is based off unique endpoints (MAC addresses) that are authenticated.

    Thanks,

Ok thanks so then to clarify since endpoint Cisco switches have MAC Addresses then they would each need a license as well?

TACACS is bases on users. So if you have 100 devices and 10 admins you use 10 core lic for TACACS

That makes sense thanks, are "core Licenses" seperated then from the clearpass or virual appliance licenses?

No. The number on your appliance is the number of base licenses. (i.e. CP-VA-500 = 500)

    Thanks,
