Has anyone had any luck installed ClearPass on Hyper-V? I don't have a Vmware environment adequate to test it in to use.
As far as I know it can not be run on Hyper-V.
The supported hypervisor is VMware, however, it can be run on Xen with a little modification.
Hey, can you elaborate on what modifications are required to get it to run on Xen?
I installed AMP in Hyper-V 2012 without any modifications.
Sorry, I should have been more clear.
The original post was for Clearpass, and that's what I'm interested in.
My customer uses Citrix XEN for their Hypervisor, so I'm wondering if Clearpass will work on Xen, and if this is a supported configuration.
Currently Xen is not a supported VM server for clearpass. CPPM is supported on VMWare and Hyper-V is on the roadmap.
Hyper-V is not a currently supported virtualization host for ClearPass.
Neither is Airwave, but it works since version 7.5 and CentOS 6. What version of linux does clearpass run on?
FYI AirWave is now officially supported on Hyper-V and is documented in the AirWave 7.6 installation guide.
I believe they are working on verifying Hyper-V compatibility with the ClearPass VM but it isn't officially supported (yet).
Has anyone heard of change in policy at Aruba on running ClearPass on Hyper-V? They were being tight-lipped, last I checked.
