    Hi Airheads!

We are using a ClearPass server with a 5K policy manager license for our 802.1x authentication. We've also used some of the built in Guest features to create a captive portal where users can log in anonymously as a guest or with their AD credentials for guest access with their personal devices. We would like to enable MAC Caching for the employee portal so that users who sign in using their AD credentials don't have to do so every day. My question is, if we enable MAC Caching for the AD side of things, will that require a Guest license to cache employee devices or does it just use a Policy Manager license?

No, only devices tied to guest user accounts in the guest database consume
    guest licenses.
