Network Discovery \ Endpoints with no Hostnames

    I have ran numerous Network discovery scans and subnet scans locating lots of windows devices that we have with Static IP's.  while the endpoints have teh IP address discovered, and services and ports discovered using the WMI and Port scans no hostnames are being returned for the endpoints.  Is there a way that i can have Clearpass resolve these machines to include a hostname.  All DHCP devices that hit clearpass register their Hostnames, and my network devices have hostnames as well.  Thanks.

    Two questions:

    Which discovery method are you using?

    (bonus half question: are you using nmap?)

    Are your static devices manually entered into your DNS?
