    Hi,

We try to use the category endpoint profile to assign a controller role making a service with ClearPass. We made it before configuring the autorization option of the Clearpass service and the configurations needed for this purpose and works fine. With another costumer we solve a similar problem adding the ClearPass ip to the DHCP helper in the VLAN that use the SSID involved. This is the alert displayed in the ClearPass access tracker:

    Policy serverFailed to construct filter=SELECT mac_vendor, hostname, static_ip, device_category, device_family, device_name FROM tips_endpoint_profiles WHERE mac = LOWER('%{Connection:Client-Mac-Address-NoDelim}').
Failed to get value for attributes=[Category]

Do you have another idea to solve this issue?

    Thanks in advance.

If a category doesn't already exist for the endpoint you'd need to select
the profile option in your service.
