    Hi,

I have a customer for whom we have deployed ClearPass Guest. The Guests have access to the Public DNS. The DNS does not have resolution to the ClearPass IP address, so we used the IP address of Clearpass in the "redirect page" on the controller for guest users to be authenticated with ClearPass server. However,  they get a cert error before they get to the login page.

What are the ways to mitigate this error ? To get a publicly signed cert, we need to use the FQDN, correct ? But then this needs to be resolvable also. Any pointers anyone.

    I appreciate all help.

    Thank you

You can either use your upstream router's DNS proxy feature or add ClearPass
    to public DNS.
