Standby publisher

    I was led to believe that the Publisher and Designated publisher could reside on different subnets. However I have just tried to make a standby publisher and it has given an error saying they need to be on the same subnet. Have I got it wrong?

    A publisher and subscriber can be on different subnets. The standby publisher relies on a VIP hence the requirement for same subnet
