    Hi
    hope some one help me
I deploy aruba 650 controller and 61 aps. We use cisco ACS in AD for radius server.
When we deploy 802.1X authentication, everything is OK.
When we deploy portal authentication, users in AD can't pass authentication, but users in ACS internal DB can pass authentication.
    I know 802.1x use mschapv2 protocol,portal use PAP protocol.I can't see the problems,anyone can help me?
I'm sorry my English is so poor.
    Thanks:catsurprised:

The logs in ACS will tell you why it is not working.  Have you looked at that?

In ACS have you enabled PAP as an authentication method?  I don't remember the exact steps to get there, but I have seen the screen where you select auth methods many times.

    last time i finish the portal authentication,it is OK。we don't change config,it can't work correctly now。

yesterday when I test portal authentication, user pass authentication only one time .after that ,user can't pass authentication .

802.1x authentication work correctly all the time.

ACS log file :External DB [NTAuthenDLL.dll]: Windows authentication FAILED (error 1783L)

so may be the ACS or AD problem?
