    Hi,

I wanted to know is there any limitation on number of username and password that can be configured on the local user repository of the clearpass server. I know we can add Active directory, however customer doesnt have one.

We have almost 16000 users in our network for 802.1X. please let me know the limitation on number of users in local user repository.

    Thanks in advance.

There is no published limit to user counts in the local user DB; but I think you need rethink things.    Where are these 16,000 users stored today?   ClearPass can talk to LDAP servers as well as AD servers.    They likely exist somewhere; why would you want to recreate this locally on CPPM?

    HI,

    Thanks for your reply.

If we use LDAP as a authentication source on clearpass server, then do we need to enable the termination on the controller for 802.1X authentication?

    Thanks again.

No, ClearPass will be the termination point.
