What can you expect?  Behind the scenes at HIMSS17

media-all-05.jpegWith over 1,200 exhibitors at the premier healthcare event, HIMSS 2017, it can be overwhelming to decide how best to spend your time.  The show floor alone can help you hit your pedometer goals in just a few hours’ time.  Our job is to ensure you leave HIMSS with a better understanding of how IT can play a part in accelerating wellness by empowering digital health.  At Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), we understand that healthcare can’t get by on bandage fixes anymore. To thrive, it’s going to need a healthy dose of digital medicine to deliver the wellness focused, patient-centric care and personalized medicine the world needs.  And that’s exactly what you will see when you enter our booth at #1979.

As we finish our preparations for the big event starting on Feb 19th in Orlando, let us share the behind the scenes journey to make sure you get the most out of your time with us.

SCENE 1: What does healthcare IT need?

First and foremost, when deciding what to showcase at HIMSS we think of you, the attendees, and what major challenges you are facing where IT can make an impact.  We’ve aligned our technology and demos specifically to marry with the healthcare IT needs.  Showcased will be how to secure mobile access to patient records, object based Vendor Neutral Archiving, anywhere IT with a Data Center Solution on wheels, IoT for healthcare, and new hybrid IT architectures with composable infrastructure.  And at the edge, location-based services that elevate the patient experience, secure connectivity for BYOD, IoT, and medical devices and creating mobile-first networks from large health systems to small clinics.

SCENE 2:  Storytelling, speed dating style

With so much to absorb at HIMSS, quick and to the point sessions are key in order for you to grasp all that is around you.  HPE has created over 20+ short 20 minute theatre sessions in our booth that include HPE, Aruba, healthcare ISVs and channel partners that are geared towards top-of-mind healthcare topics - clinical content interoperability, protect patient data and enable compliance, your enterprise imaging strategy, and analyzing risk vs. cost savings in a dynamic healthcare hybrid IT environment – just to name a few.  Stop by booth #1979 to see the full listing of sessions and schedules.

SCENE 3:  Giving back to the community

Ever wonder what happens to all those tradeshows trinkets?  Imagine how many there are with 1,200 exhibitors at HIMSS!  While we will have our share of giveaways, we also want to give back to the community and those that support causes to better our world.  Join us at our charity cube (much like the cash cubes you see on TV) where you enter into a cube and catch as many charity vouchers as you can. Choose from our pre-selected charities – Kiva, Doctors Without Borders and the Ronald McDonald House – who will receive the donation on behalf of HPE. Win-win for all.  Giving back to the community while also learning more about HPE and Aruba.

SCENE 4:  Stop and smell the roses

In all the chaos that goes hand in hand with an event this large, it is nice to stop and smell the roses.  Come celebrate with us on Tuesday, Feb 21st from 4:00-6:00PM at our booth reception co-hosted with Comport Healthcare Solutions.

We trust that HIMSS17 will be as grandeur as ever and we welcome you to join Hewlett Packard Enterprise as we bring together digital health expertise and solutions to deliver integrated, cost effective patient-centric healthcare.  Stop by booth #1979 and say hello!
