Aruba Mobility Access Switch is not delivering power

Q:

Why does Aruba Mobility Access Switch is not delivering power to PD's?



A:

When the Aruba MAS receives lpower from any of the port then its PoE circuit goes into protection mode and it will not give out power to the power devices connected to it.

To verify if Aruba switch is getting inline power execute the command - show alarms as below:

show alarms  

1 Active Alarms in the System
-----------------------------

-----  ----                       -----------
Major  2015-10-20 11:39:27 (UTC)  Inline Power Detected On GE1/0/4

Again by removing the inline power the Aruba switch will be able to deliver power to the power devices.
