Below show command will display the lcd-menu maintenance-operations enable/disable status, to the operator (via "push-buttons" adjacent to panel).
If an option is disabled, user can't perform that operation from LCD-panel.
(S3500) #show lcd-menu lcd-menu -------- Parameter Value --------- ----- menu maintenance upgrade-image partition0 enabled menu maintenance upgrade-image partition1 enabled menu maintenance upgrade-image enabled menu maintenance upload-config enabled menu maintenance factory-default enabled menu maintenance media-eject enabled menu maintenance system-reboot enabled menu maintenance system-halt enabled menu maintenance enabled menu enabled
By default all operations are allowed/enabled
But, It can also lead to any accidental/deliberate operations on the device, which affects high-availabilty/functionality.
In-order to prevent from such scenarios, MAS provides a safety feature, where in Adminstrator can block few/All operations, via configuration as below:
(S3500) #configure t Enter Configuration commands, one per line. End with CNTL/Z (S3500) (config) #lcd-menu (S3500) (lcd-menu) #? disable no (S3500-B4-BC31) (lcd-menu) #disable menu maintenance ? factory-default media-eject system-halt system-reboot upgrade-image upload-config <cr>
- For example you don't want to allow upgrade via 'partition1' , then configure as below.
(S3500) (lcd-menu) #disable menu maintenance upgrade-image partition1
