How to test a cable connected to a port from Aruba MAS?
Requirement:
If the cable connected to the switch port is bad and in order to test the cable connectivity between the end devices.


Solution:
We can run the diagnostics on the ports of Aruba Mobility Access Switches to check the connectivity of the cable with end devices.


Configuration:

(Switch2500) #run diagnostics interface gigabitethernet 0/0/1 cable 

TDR started on interface gigabitethernet0/0/1


Verification

(Switch2500) #show  diagnostics interface gigabitethernet 0/0/1 cable 

Interface name        : gigabitethernet0/0/1

Test status           : Completed

Normal cable length    : 55 metres
