Earlier this year we installed 8 AP-175s around the county - some on school buildings and others on an existing and new 95' to 110' wooden poles. The county's Water Authority building is close to a pole-mounted AP-175 and gets its Wi-Fi and wired connectivity to the county's network using a roof-mounted grid antenna pointed at the AP and a third-party roof-mounted range extender.

AP-175 on school buildings are mounted so that public safety and county employees can connect from the road in front of the buildings.

Cool!  You are the official winner of $50 for the first photo posted!  I'm curious to know what types of devices the public safety and county employees are using. Are they mostly connecting via laptops from inside vehicles?

They are using notebook PCs in vehicles and various handheld devices (smarthones and tablets).

Yes, they are. Panasonic Toughbooks (the de-facto standard equipment) in vehicles. Other devices - iPADs, iPhones, Notebook PCs (various) and a wide variety of Android and Blackberry smartphones.
