    I am looking for AP which meets my requirement. I want to set the setting information of DHCP method for several APs by importing only one text file.

    Now I am using D-Link DWL-7100AP which meets my requirement and am feeling it very useful about its DHCP method. However unfortunately it is not produced any more.

    The setting of its DHCP method (IP address, subnet mask, default gateway, DNS, MAC address) can be set by importing text file. For example, if there are ten clients for one access point (say "AP1"), the setting of its DHCP method can be done by importing the text file which has ten records of ten machines as follow.

     

    ## For AP1
    IP address - subnet mask - default gateway - DNS - MAC address
    192.168.1.10 - 255.255.255.0 - 192.168.1.20 - ***-***-***-*** - xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx
    192.168.1.11 - 255.255.255.0 - 192.168.1.20 - ***-***-***-*** - xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx
    192.168.1.12 - 255.255.255.0 - 192.168.1.30 - ***-***-***-*** - xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx
    192.168.1.13 - 255.255.255.0 - 192.168.1.20 - ***-***-***-*** - xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx
    192.168.1.14 - 255.255.255.0 - 192.168.1.20 - ***-***-***-*** - xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx
    192.168.1.15 - 255.255.255.0 - 192.168.1.20 - ***-***-***-*** - xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx

    As the example shows, "192.168.1.12" and "192.168.1.18" use different default gateway ("192.168.1.30" even others use "192.168.1.20"). This intends to assign different DSL line for some IP addresses to control the traffic. (There are several DSL lines but each bandwidth is very limited such as several hundred KBps. So considering the traffic, I assign different DSL line for some users.)

    Also if there are several APs (say AP1 - AP10)in the network, they can share the setting information, so I can set all APs with only one text file as follow.

    ## For AP1
    IP address - subnet mask - default gateway - DNS - MAC address
    ........
    ## For AP2
    IP address - subnet mask - default gateway - DNS - MAC address
    ........
    ## For AP3
    IP address - subnet mask - default gateway - DNS - MAC address
    ........continue to AP10

    Again, my requirement is that I want to set the setting information of DHCP method for several APs by importing only one text file.

    Also it is desirable that AP doesn't limit the number of access.

     

    Please let me know the model of AP which meets my requirements.

    I'm not aware that there is this specific feature on Aruba products. You could drop users into different VLANs with different gateways.

     

    If I had that setup I'd be looking into a load balancing firewall / router. I'm prety sure Palo Alto, Juniper, Sonicwall etc all provide this functionality.
