    So, finally got AP advertising turned on in our SSID profiles.

     

    The goal being, to see the name of the AP currently associated with.

     

    And it works! Sometimes ~

     

    I use Air Magnet as well as WiFi Explorer. Both apps are getting AP name through frame data... according to Adrian at Wifi X, the name is in the beacon frame.

     

    Here's what I'm seeing:

    I guess what I don't understand is, if AP name advertisement is a trait of the SSID, why would it be inconsistent between different APs from the same SSID?

     

    Here's a zoomed in look. See the SSID "DCCC-Secure"? Some of the APs are displaying their names, and then others, circled red, aren't.

    Please confirm (1) What model access points they are and (2) What version of ArubaOS this is.

    Thank you, these are a mix of 225s and 325s, 

    running on 6.5.0.4
