I had to reconfigure Aruba 620 controller to recover from issue. Upon recovery, I noticed that PoE is not working none of my APs will power up now. Do I have to reset the APs as well?
Are these APs plugged directly into the controller?
Also, did you do a write erase all on the controller?
Yes these are plugged up to the controller and I did perform an write erase all
Write erase all will wipe all licenses from the controller. The 620 actually needs a license key to enable PoE. You'll need to check your licensing.arubanetworks.com account or contact support to get the key.
Thanks, I appreciate your help.
What if the device is out of support, will they still give you your keys?
They should. It is tied to the hardware.
Excellent. I will call them, thanks again
If you have a licensing account, you can log in and click 'import preloaded certficiates' and input the serial number of the controller to retrieve the embedded PoE license.
I am logging in to the service right now. Thanks for all the help. I will report back my findings
