    Hi all,

Its looking like i will add another 215 to my existing stand alone instant to serve the downstairs, whilst the existing will stay upstairs.

With that in mind i understand the new AP would get its configuration from the existing unit (i think?), but is there anything else that would need adjusting, enabling for the two to work together comfortably?

Hopefully i will avoid any issues with clients etc!

    Many thanks

Just be sure they're running the same code release before connecting the second one.

    Ok sounds do-able!

Lastly, would i benefit from using a controller for the two rather than having them run in standalone?

If so, which would be the best (easiest) option?

I have spotted a used 800 series for reasonable cost, although i cannot find any info on the Aruba site, so i guess its discontinued?

    Thanks

There would be no benefit. The 800 is very old.

Yes, i thought that might be the case considering how cheap it was.

Is there one you could recommend or do you think it would be unneccessary with my set up?
