    we have a  customer having 8 X OAW-AP93 with Virtual controller solution from alcatel. they are looking to add another 6 X AP205H on the network. I have below clarifications .

     

    1. Can I add the aruba AP205H to this network ?

    2. can I add the aruba AP license to the virtual controller.

    3. If I propose them them a new aruba controller can  OAW-AP93 work with the aruba controller.

    4. What are the ethernet port available in the AP205H ?

    as for 1,2 and 3 you can't mix Aruba and OEM equipment.

     

    4 i don't get, have a look at the data sheet i would say.

    Not sure about the virtual side of things but we run Aruba APs on our Alcatel physical controllers without an issue.

    It is physically possible, but when it comes time to get support there will be issues.

    We made sure that before we went ahead with this that our current support provider would cover us, the ensured that wouldnt be a problem . After a year of running with these(touch wood)be no problems what so ever. 

     

    It is a good point to make tho! :)
