    Hi,

We've been having a problem with one of our SSID's lately. We have two SSID's that share the same network. One network is tied to the captive portal while the other is based on mac-authentication. We use the interal database to add users for mac-authentication. However, lately the mac-authenticated devices seem to be dropping randomly. The only way to reconnet and get an IP is to join another network then join back. I have verfiied there are plenty of IPs in the pool.

I have turned on band-steering, broadcast-filter arp, and mcast-rate-opt in an attempt to optimize our wireless performance but it hasn't made any difference.

Our internal database is 700 devices. And we're running

Did you turn on broadcast filter all on All your virtual APS?

Yes, and what happens is the devices stay connected but lose their IP address. The lease is 8 hours and there is plenty of IPs available. It's only happening on this one SSID

You could temporarily turn of Mac authentication and see if users still have the same problems. You would do this by changing the Mac authentication profile To N/A in your AAA profile.
