I think I already know the answer but I wanted to seek clarification.

Enabling Aruba Blink mode is done by the AP system profile, which is then attached to an AP configuration group.

Does that affect performance for other SSIDs associated in those groups?

As it is not done by the SSID profile how can you differentiate or does it not matter?

Blinking does not affect performance of the access points.

Blinking can be done on the individual AP level  http://community.arubanetworks.com/t5/Controller-Based-WLANs/How-do-I-identify-that-AP-that-is-right-above-me-with-the-ap-led/ta-p/182360

    Hi Broaders!

The blink mode shouldn´t affect the APs performance in any way. Although configuring blink can be done like the way you describe it, the use case is mostly to find one specifik AP. There´s a really easy way to do it through the CLI of the controller:

    # ap-leds ap-name <AP-Name> blink

    # ap-leds ap-name <AP-Name> normal

one command to turn blink on for an AP and one command to turn it off :)
