Aruba Master controller selection for APs

    We have an Aruba network with 1 Master and 3 Local controllers.  Two of the locals are nearly full to capacity, but none of the APs are going to the 3rd.  I have tried to force APs to this controller with environment commands with no success. On the surface, all three appear to be configured the same.  Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this.  I am coming in to support an already established network, so I do not know any of the history.

    APs will not automatically move between controllers.

     

    You will need to create different ap system profiles that point to the different controllers. Also, are you using centralized licensing? If not, be sure that the other local controller has sufficient AP/PEF licenses.
