    Hello.

Customer have a Cisco AP1142 (standalone AP). Can I manage this AP by Aruba controller (now controller model not defined, it`s a theoretical question by customer) without AirWave? i.e. I plug cable into free ethernet port of controller and manage cisco ap like aruba ap?

    Thanks

As far as I know, you can manage other vendor devices (supported ones of course) by Airwave, not with Aruba controllers.

    Thanks for answer

But I found this theme: http://community.arubanetworks.com/t5/ArubaOS-and-Controllers/Cisco-AP-and-3200-controller/m-p/15918/highlight/true#M6840

message 3 says - Aruba controller can manage standalone cisco-A; but message 4 says what  AirWave only.

    Anybody knows what is true?

P.S. Sorry for my terrible english :)

Correct.  We can only legally manage them with Airwave.
