Hi,
There is a way to achieve per-AP configuration on standalone Mobility Controllers 8.x using CLI (no option for Web however). You need to use 'ap-name' command.
Here is an example:
(config) #ap-name YourAP
(AP name "YourAP") #dot11a-radio-profile Custom-RF-Profile-5GHz
(AP name "YourAP") #dot11g-radio-profile RF-Profile-2.4GHz-OFF
(AP name "YourAP") #end
write mem
(MC) ^[mynode] #show ap-name YourAP
AP name "YourAP"
-----------------------
Parameter Value
--------- -----
Virtual AP N/A
Excluded Virtual AP N/A
802.11a radio profile Custom-RF-Profile-5GHz
802.11g radio profile RF-Profile-2.4GHz-OFF
Ethernet interface 0 port configuration N/A
Ethernet interface 1 port configuration N/A
...
The ap-name profile will overwrite the command you specify to the access point. In my example, I am overwriting radio-profiles to an AP. All remaining configuration that is untouched in the ap-name profile is taken from the AP Group (VAP profiles are not modified in my ap-name profile so the VAP from the AP Group will apply).
I recommend using ap-name for temporary modifications, when troubleshooting for example. Make sure to use AP Groups as much as possible in production.
