Hello,
I have a bunch of 225s and we already have a private and guest SSID that work on 2.4 and 5GHz with 5GHz preferred. Is there a way to set up an additional test SSID that only services devices on 5GHz?
Yes. In the virtual-ap, set the band to A only.
Thanks is the virtual ap - the web interface to the controller ID? If so can you spoon feed me where to go?
Because I know Tim is a busy guy ;-)
Configuration --> All Profiles --> Wireless LAN --> Virtual AP --> Your Virtual AP --> Allowed Band
CLI:
wlan virtual-ap "NAMEofVAP" allowed-band "a"
Thanks - I apoligize - I must be in the wrong section.
When I edit the network SSID in the instant web interface,
I have WLAN settings, VLAN, Security and Access
I still want the other two network SSIDs to service 2.4 and 5ghz.
Oh, you're using Instant. (Next time please post in the Instant forums. We thought you were using controller :) ).
When you click edit next to the SSID in the VC, you'll see the option to select 5 GHz vs 2.4 GHz on the right hand side. (you'll need to be in the advanced view, click at the bottom left).
Thanks - I seem to have an option of transmit rates - but I don't know how to disable 2.4GHz

On your screenshot it is under Band on the right hand side.
Thanks - I feel stupid but I certainly really really appreiciate the spoon feeding!
