Centralized Licensing Scenario question

    I have a question regarding Centralized Licensing.

     

    At present we have a controller in our data center that manages Rap access.  We would like to put another controller in our other data center as a failover box.   

     

    It is my understanding that if we make the new controller the licensing master and the original box a licensing client of this then the licenses raps will still work on the original box with the correct licenses but in event of failure, once the heartbeat has failed 3 times then the licenses will be available on the new box allowing the Raps to connect to this instead.

     

    Am I correct in my understanding?

    You can definitely do this.

     

    Are you planning to VRRP or LMS ?

     

    Is this a Master/Local scenario ?
