Most recent ArubaOS version for the 3400 is version 6.4.4.9. That version is available on the Aruba support website and requires an active support contract to download.

On the certificate, check in this post: https://community.arubanetworks.com/t5/Controller-Based-WLANs/ArubaOS-Default-Certificate-Revocation-FAQ-Controllers/ta-p/275809 how to put an alternative certificate in your controller. I'm not aware of a possibility to disable HTTPS for the web management, and for lab use, most people I know just ignore the certificate warning. If you run into the 'revoked certificate' problem, check the mentioned post to put in a self-signed certificate.
