    Is anyone using the SMS gateway feature to send credentials out? If so, who are you using and do you have any advice for us as we look to implement this functionality?

    The easiest way and most cost-effective way (because it's free) is to use SMS over SMTP and send the texts through wifi. Once you choose this option you will have to setup an SMTP server, and define which mobile phone carriers you want to offer as an option on the captive portal form. This is how I have experienced setting up SMS for guest registration.

    Is there any documentation on this?  I've searched but haven't found anything on specifically SMS over SMTP.

    I would try checking out the ClearPass Guest deployment guide and do a search for "SMS"
