I have a couple of AP-135s and i want to check if they are IAPs which does not need a WLAN Controller and which are APs which require a WLAN controller.

There are som APs, even though it was written on the boxes that they were IAPs, the sticker says AP-135 and also on the controller, all the APs are of type AP, even though i know for sure that some are IAP. Is there anywhere else i can confirm that? a command maybe?

Found this in our community, may this help you..

    http://community.arubanetworks.com/t5/Unified-Wired-Wireless-Access/controller-command-to-identify-AP-or-converted-IAP/td-p/184016

Also you can console each of them and see the booting process, for AP and IAP the booting process is different. [like AP will search for master but IAP will not]
