i have 3200 controller with dchp running on the controller. From time to time, i see ipad or win 7 has issue obtaining ip address from the controller while they connected to the ssid successfully with the logon role.

May be i am not familiar with ipad and win 7. The network settings are looking normal. this is pretty annoying issue.

Does anybody experience this issue? or may be tips for further troubleshooting.

We were experiencing the same issue.

Ended up being that the switch was not passing the vlan information correctly.

Check under your SSID Profile on the controller under

Wireless > Configuration > AP Group

If your using vlan's you need to make sure that the SSID is passing traffic over the correct vlan.

    skywalker,
Have you tried using an external DHCP server?

Can you post the following output taken during the issue please?

show user ip x.x.x.x (where x is the client IP).

What VLAN is the user supposed to be on?
