I know that the tftp is used for the fimrware upgrade
But the ftp port for what is used? We need ti put an ap in a plce which has restrict access in porta. They are not allowed to use ftp port, neither tftp port. All the otherports that the cobtroller use is allowed so there js no issue. But for what the cobtroler use the ftp port between controller and ap?? Do i rrally need it?

FTP is for upgrades. New APS get firmware over tftp and ftp for all other updates after that.

It will work if it does not have to upgrade.  Upgrades that fail over ftp fall back to tftp, but the performance over TFTP is pretty bad compared to ftp.
