IAP-305 starts in powersave mode when connected to HP 1920 POE+
IAP-305 starts in powersave mode when connected to HP 1920 POE+

Hi,
we have some HP 1920 24g POE+ (370w) - JG926A with connected some Aruba IAP-305. Frequently but not always happens that the IAP-305 starts in powersave mode and it is necessary to reboot the AP or disable and re-enable the POE on the switch port to get the IAP-305 starting in the full mode.
It doesn't happens with other switches, where the IAP-305 always starts in full mode. I tested with Aruba 2530 and 2930.
The orange light on the IAP-305 gives to the customer an impression of malfunctioning.
Somebody know how to avoid it?
Thanks!
Kind regards.
Michele

This almost seems like a 1920 issue. Can you see how much Power is already consumed? What is the cable length between the APs and the switch?

Hi,
Thanks for the answer.
The issue happens also with only one AP and the power consumed displayed on the switch is always the same in both the cases, with and without the issue.
I also tried with a cable of 1 meter and I had the same problem.
