Hello all, I have searched for, and found, a few issues related to mine. Although, I never located a solution or root of the issue I'm having. I work for a university and we have been deploying Aruba AP 105s across our campus. We've deployed roughly 2000 APs and are about 1/3 of the way done with our deployment.
The more access points that we put out the more we're noticing this problem. We have a monitoring program called spectrum. Every morning when we come in there will be about 5 new access points that are down. When we go to the physical AP we get a blinking red power light that seems to strobe in 10 second intervals.
We are running Juniper EX 3200, 4200 & 4200 POE+ switches.
We have looked at the power settings in the Juniper switches and the APs seem to be pulling around 5.4 - 6.5 volts. I have tried to find something in the switch logs that would indicate a power surge or anything that might cause the AP to become unresponsive.
The AP itself is only responsive when a power injector is used to supply the power. Even after a factory default the Ethernet port cannot be used to power the AP back on. I have also tried to find some sort of log on the AP itself but I'm not sure there is anything of the sort on the 105s?
Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you!
